Canon 200EG Backpack Pictures - 03-21-2007, 03:58 PM

I'd like to see some interior pictures of your Canon 200EG Backpack. If you currently use one and have it packed with your gear can you take a picture if it so I can see how much it will really hold please? Maybe even some pics of the pouches and zippered areas as well?

I need a new pack and was wondering if I can fit my meager equipment stash into it. I would really like to be able to pack my 70-200 f2.8 IS in the backpack while it's in that nice bag that came with it from Canon. Is that doable based on my equipment list do you think?

I think I might get one of these but would like to see how some of you use one.

i use a 200DG bag with the following:

rebel xt + grip
28-70 2.8L + hood inverted
420 EX
17-40 f/4 + hood placed on top
50 1.4 mounted on the camera
manuals+filters+cleaner+batteries+remotes+cf reader everything else stored in the compartments with room to spare..

im hoping the bag can accomodate a 135L with a little rearranging...

Love the bag as it is a good bang for the buck. It can tend to get heavy. I recently came back from a trip and have the following crammed in mine:

Canon 20D with battery grip & Canon L 24-70mm mounted w/ hood inverted.
Canon L 100-400mm IS w/ hood inverted
Canon 100mm macro w/ hood inverted
Canon 10-20mm w/ hood in outer zip pocket
Canon 550EX flash
Canon ST-E2
Extra batteries, remote shutter release, lens cleaning kit, extra CF cards, etc.

How did you get all of that into that bag?! I have the same equipment! Would love to see a pic.

I have since moved on to newer bags but it did serve a good purpose. I no longer have a photo with the gear in it to give a good illustration. The camera body with lens attached was in the middle section with the camera near the zipper. The 100-400mm was to one side, the flash was on the other. Smaller lenses and accessories were at the bottom end of the bag.

My new fav is a Lowepro Flipside 300 @ $75. The sides are much more stable especially with heavier L lenses. I took it with me this past weekend and carried: Canon 7D with grip, 100-400mm, 24-70mm, 10-22mm, lens hoods, graduated filters, remote shutter release, extra CF cards, batteries, etc.
