I'm wondering if it's comfortable to wear and if it's better than the Tamrac Velocity series sling bag. I'm heading to Italy in a couple weeks and still wondering which bag to use. I have the Velocity 9 but was never a fan of accessing my gear from the top because when you swing it around the top of the bag is so close to my face making it awkward. The smallest fastback would probably fit what I want to bring nicely and it seems secure enough.

That looks like a cool bag.

Hmm that looks pretty attractive.

All the greatness of the Slinger, but in a dual strap form. (I'm kinda chunky, and a sling across my body doesn't look too great, and is uncomfortable.)

And in that price range!? Sweet.

I own the Slingshot 200 and 300 and it's a real comfortable bag. I would imagine this one will make the back packers happy.

That looks very nice! I might go with a Lowepro instead of a Tamrac.

Looks good Dennis. I have been using the Lowepro Slingshot 300 and like it a lot, but I was looking for a backpack version since sometimes it is hard to keep it on your shoulder if you don’t “sling” it over your torso. This could be just the ticket!

Well, both local places disappoint.
I wanted to try it out in person.
Guess I'll have to order online and hope for the best!

I wonder if these really would provide convenient access to gear while being worn, they look to be quite a bit bulkier than the Velocity or Slingshot bags. (I have a Velocity 9 but I'm not crazy about it).

It's strange that these are already shipping, but I can find no mention of them on the LowePro website.

I went ahead and ordered from Amazon. They say it will ship out on the 11th. I let you know how it works, but I couldn’t find it elsewhere either.

I need to get one before the 19th if I'm going to get one.
What i really want to know is how you access it like the slingshot if it has two backpack straps.
I am confoooosed.

EDIT: From this link it looks like you take one arm out to access it...

Yea.. your update is what I found.

I hope it works as well as the Sling shot.. as it is great when slung... but keeps slipping of my shoulder if I only have it over one shoulder. I wish Upstrap made a non-slip pad I could add to the "sling" ...

Just got my Fastpack 350 today… haven’t loaded it yet, but this is what I have noticed. Overall about the same size as the Slingshot 300, maybe a little taller and wider at the top. A little deeper… to accommodate the laptop. Top compartment is much bigger and better laid-out, with more pockets and Velcro see-through gear bag. (nice). The computer compartment is well padded but not overly so. (nice). Quality is like all Lowepro bags (great).

I have noticed that is has no outside loops to hang “add-on” bags. (Not so Nice), As I typically have 2 small Tamrac bags attached to the outside of my Slingshot. One to carry my flash and one for filters.. both give quick access. I will either need to pack differently (perhaps in the larger upper compartment) or I will need to sew on a attachment loop to hang my smaller accessory bags.. most likely the later.

I’ll let you know how it goes after I load it up with all the gear.

Thanks for the update.
I had to go ahead and order the 200 since I need it for my trip next week.
I think it will be here friday.
Good to hear positive initial comments...
