A replacement for my reporter bag - 05-07-2008, 01:25 PM

I believe I have found a replacement for my reporter bag. Looks great to travel with and you can use it for other applications than just a photo bag... I am going to have to check this out at the local shop.

I like it, except for their awful music/lyrics at the beginning and end of the video.

No speakers here so it did not bother me at all.
seems like a pretty cool bag.

bought one myself, mostly because I needed a laptop case, something other than my pelican for the camera, and a bag for school. no need to scare the other student showing up with my assault pack (only bag I've needed for the last five years!)

I got a gift certiciate for Arlington Camera and picked up one of these to take on a trip to Europe. The slingshots and backpacks just didn't feel right, and with this bag the camera is only a short reach away. So far it is very comfortable and flexible as I walk the neighbohood getting in shape for the trip.

I had an old Tenba bag that was really nice (I could load a 400 mm lens and three or five camera bodies with lenses on them). Stupidly got rid of it. Was a little heavy loaded, but the model you're looking at looks awesome. Love that it fits a 17-inch laptop; my Lowepro Stealth Reporter is the one that only fits a 15-inch.

I just got my IRS check in so I think I am going to have to pick one up. I was looking at the crumpler or whatever it's called and just was not that impressed. this one seems better designed. should work out great for a travel bag and on the street. normally I dont need to take every thing I own to a shoot. when that's the case I have to break out the old hard case.

Tenba full of gear. There's a list of what's inside down below, to illustrate that I probably could take EVERYTHING with me if I so desired. Of course, were I to need everything, I'd likely bring the Pelican my gear usually lives in instead, an have an on-location bench for me to sit on should such be required. Want to carry, in a small Tenba Messenger, enough to do some fun on-location work? Too easy.

15" Macbook Pro + AC adapter
4x CF cards
1x Space Pen
1x 4AA battery charger with 4x AA batteries
4x spare Canon 5D batteries w/ charger
1x Canon 5D + Battery Grip
1x Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L (mounted)
1x Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS
1x Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4 Di
2x PWIIs plus MV1 cable for Vivitar 285HV
1x Vivtar 285HV + Omnibounce

that's the small bag?
I was looking at the large bag.
Seems like I will have enough room to fit all I would need for a PR shoot in there with room to spare.
thanks Anthony.
