The ones I saw were the Lowepro Computrekker AW or Vertex 100 AW. Any reviews for these bags or any you think may work?
I have 2 DSLRs, few lenses and a 13" laptop that I want to carry when travelling. | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

It isn't a backpack but the ThinkTank 50 gets rave reviews and doesn't telegraph expensive computer/photo gear.

I have the Tamrac Adventure 9 and it has been excellent. I've done some pretty serious hiking with it (South Rim in Big Bend, Pine Top/The Bowl/McKittrick Canyon in the Guadalupe Mountains) and it has been very comfortable.

I have tried a couple of different backpack/laptop packs recently, the Lowepro Computrekker and a Naneu Pro Urban 120, but I sold them both and I'm now sporting a Tenba messenger bag. It's quicker access when it's on my shoulder, and easier to use on airplanes than a backpack. Fits under the seat in front of you better to access the laptop during flights. So it depends on whether it's hiking or just air/car travel your doing. When I get to the hiking portion of the trip I'm not taking the laptop anyway, so I switch out the camera gear to a Tamrac shoulder/belt pack. Different bags for different type trips.

I have the LowePro and it's great for travelling. Flexible design, good padding and easy on the shoulders with nice padded straps but all that padding makes it heavy. It will carry two bodies configured correctly and assuming the mounted lenses are not too long. I carry an XTI w/grip, 400mm, 70-300mm, 24-105, 95 and 11-22 plus filters, cards, wipes and ibuprofen (did I say it was heavy). I'm a lazy photographer and will go to a vest or belt system someday but this is good for travel. with all the stuff above, it goes over 40pounds, almost 50 so clearly the laptop comes out as soon as possible.

For traveling with gear + laptop, I have used the Crumpler Karachi Outpost. It will handle 2 bodies + a few lenses and a large widescreen laptop. It is a very large bag (their largest). It worked well for me on trips where I needed to bring all my gear along. However, for daily use, it does not work well as a laptop bag.
I found some good pictures here: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=12939
Let me know what you think, because I've been thinking about selling mine (if you would entertain a used bag).

I've been thinking about getting the Tenba messenger for the 17" laptop (they also have a smaller version). I'm impressed by what I've seen in pictures. | | | |

You might try looking at these... http://www.kata-bags.com/Item.asp?pi...d=4&ProdLine=4
I have had most of the bags and really like this one as it feels snug and does not move around when you have it on.
Good luck! | | | |

I have traveled wth the Kata DR 467 and it fits fine under an airline seat with the laptop and camera in it. It has room for one camera and lenses in the bottom and I guess you could store the second body in the top. I can store a video camera and plenty of extras as well. It's well made and comfortable to carry. http://www.amazon.com/Kata-KATA-DIGI...1850763&sr=8-1

I LOVE my Vertex 100. I pack a LOT of gear in it. I also now have a FastPack 350, which is great when I go on travel for work and need to carry my 17" work laptop. The Vertex fits my 13.3" laptop with no problem, and I can bring a wide range of lenses.
