OK, I have done alot of research tonight and I STILL cannot make up my mind. I am 5'4", I have a 30D w/grip, 580x, 4 various lenses, and my 15' Macbook Pro. I have been looking at these bags:
1. Lowepro SlingShot 350
2. Lowepro Stealth Reporter 550
3. Think Tank Urban Disguise 50 or 60
Does anyone have any comments on these bags or a better suggestion?
Thanks so much!!!

Don't forget Tenba's Messenger. I'm using the large to carry a gripped 30D, 24-70, 70-200, and a few small primes. Fits my MBP15 with room to spare (meant for a 17")

I've had it for a few months and it's held up really nicely, Camera Co-Op has it (check first), along with a few others.
I'll give you one to avoid: Naneu Pro Lima, the padded dividers are too thick and I have trouble fitting 70-200, 24-70, gripped body in. It's a nice bag, but not for too much gear.

I have the slingshot 300. I really like this bag. It has lots of room. However with that said if I carry it very long it gets very heavy and pulls on the one shoulder. Now that i have had it for a while I think the next bag I go with will be a backpack style. I do not know if this rambling will help you or not. Just my 2 cents worth.

I carry a MacBook, my A700 with vertical grip, 70-200/2.8, 17-50/2.8, 50/1.7, strobe and all of the other small stuff that I need. But due to the vertical grip I have to place the camera body in the bag without a lens attached.

i recently bought a think tank 35. just to carry my vacation set (d300, with 18-200, 15" notebook, and accessories and a book and medicine and). i got the backpack attachment for it. I have used this for one trip and it worked great. recently i added a 28-70 to the bag for some portraits etc.
I am very happy with it. i think it will become my travel bag for awhile. it was actually bigger than I thought it would be and would easily carry my 70-200 instead of the 18-200 if I wanted.
bottom line --- consider a think tank bag. although you will need a bigger one than mine also look at one of the airport xxx models
when i go on serious photo trips with both d300 and d2x, and full set of lenses 12-24, 28-70, 70-200, 200-400, 55, flash, notebook, etc i use my petersons bag or my lowpro backpack.
(you can never have too many bags)

I have the Lowepro Stealth Reporter 550 and love it. The padded computer compartment can accommodate a 17-inch MacBook Pro (even though the description seems to counter this). I have loaded it with two gripped camera bodies, one with my 70-200 mounted, and there's room for two flashes and two or three (if one's mounted on the other body) lenses. Lots of organization, memory card wallet, extra pockets, zip-top access and a large pocket on the back that unzips and can be slipped over rolling luggage/dolly handle. If it's balanced well, a benefit to this bag is that it will sit on its bottom rather than tip over like a messenger bag or backpack (but it can still tip).
Loaded down, it can get heavy like any bag. If that's a huge problem, you might consider something with wheels on it. Good luck!
