Take a look at the Kata bags. Available at bhphotovideo and amazon.
In particular, the R-103.

Tks.

When it doubt, go for style. Check out this leather Samsonite camera bag/case on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Camera-Bag-Case-...QQcmdZViewItem

It's big enough to fit your wife's kit, but doesn't look bulky at all.

Best,

Michael

You may want to look at the Slingshot 100 by Lowepro. i have the 200 and it is a nice bag. Easy to access without having to take it off and comfortable too.

Ok we looked last night and settled on the Lowepro Classified 140 AW.

Thanks for all the input. I don't think she will be disappointed and she really liked the idea it will have space and pouches for purse-like items.

If you get a one-in-a-million or a hole-in-one, you'll get the right bag the first time. However, I don't know of ANYONE who has purchased the "right" bag on the first attempt. Good luck!

Here's the link she just sent me...the CRS comes and goes. Thanks goodness for Outlook and online accounts to jog the old memory cells!

I have a Kata 103. It's heavy, but I do like the yellow interior, which makes it very easy to find stuff. It holds all the gear I'd ever want to take with me, too, which makes it even heavier;^) My husband LOVES this bag; he uses it more than I do.

Also (fwiw), I prefer a backpack style over the messenger.
