Hard to beat a Pelican Case. Lots of sizes and configurations to choose from. I think they have a "you break it, we'll replace it guarantee.

there has been some discussion about the pelican on here. I believe they don't stand behind them if they are submerged...I could be wrong. I would do a search.

waterproof as in underwater or just safe during a storm?
i've gone skiing (and fallen) multiple times carrying this bag [ http://stores.channeladvisor.com/sel...Q_xDAodqgvhAA] and my camera always stays safe - i love it!
you can probably carry max. 3 medium lens in it, which is all i need so thats great.

My company trusts Pelican cases to transport delicate instruments more expensive than Stovall's stuff in the back of pickup trucks, on offshore supply boats, etc. They work.
What doesn't work is the cheesy pluck apart foam. The photo dividers are much better.

Let's put it this way:
Halliburton, the inventor of what is now called the Zero or Zero-Halliburton metal case, uses a lot of Pelican cases. There are various grades of them, each with varying degrees of durability and water-tightness. And varying degrees of $$.
Do notice in the video they use smaller cases. Larger cases are much more difficult to seal.

I've used Otterbox for my cell phone and iPod. They also make larger cases that claim to be waterproof, crush-proof and float. Their reputation isn't as battle-tested as some of the others, though. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
