I hope someone has an answer. I saw them in seattle last month and didn't buy one. Afterward I really regretted it.

Define good price. They are expensive. New.

I was offered a used one earlier in the week. The Hadley Original. Fixed dividers and shoulder strap pad ($25 extra). $95 including shipping. I passed. The fixed dividers were the deal breaker for me.

Good would be cheaper than buying directly from them. New or used doesn't make a difference. However, finding a good condition used one is harder than what I expected.

The best price for the Hadley I have found is from Adorama at $199.

Daniel,

Here is the description of the Hadley I was offered. I can tell you how to get in touch with the seller if you're interested.

Quote:
Billingham tan canvas fabric. Leather is natural brown. Fabric is clean with no worn spots. Leather has no cracks as I have applied leather conditioner periodically. Press tabs work well.

13.5" wide 10" tall 3 1/4 wide bottom 2 1/4 wide at the top.

Interior is a very soft green quilted fabric. Partitions are sewn in unlike the current bag, all are is 4X4. "

One partition started to become unstuffed at the bottom and the wife sewed a patch across the bottom to keep the quilt stuffing in. You can`t see
it as it only the bottom 9" down. Interior is not worn. The center and one end compartment have flaps half way up sewn to one side so you can separate items and still have padding between.

A Leica M fits in the center easily with maybe a 90 TE and reversed shade.

A R camera is a tight fit with 35/70 4.0.

Was going to keep the shoulder pad as it was $25.

I will sell it all for $75.

Paypal or Postal money order. Checks require 2 week wait to clear.
My problem is missing these things over night. Good ones at good prices sell fast. Or I see them for almost new prices. OR I see them in dark colors. I want khaki. I'll keep lurking. Someday I'll pounce on one.

I just wonder how many knock offs there are out there...and how to tell if they are. Check this one for example:

Real or knock off?

I've never held a real Billingham in my hands. However, that bag looks great. If I did ebay I might bid a few bucks for it.

Reading furhter...NO DIVIDERS. Thos could cost a fortune.

interesting.. never knew these were that great. I acquired one from a garage sale.. it was free since I bought all the junk that was in it. I did notice that it was well made and sturdy.

I got tired of going to dead end garage sales. I guess I should reconsider.

Are there any outlets in Houston that sell these bags? Houston Camera Exchange used to but by the time I decided to actually buy one they had stopped. I prefer to inspect a bag before I buy it, it increases the odds of my actually useing it.
