Gotta say.. It's going to take some getting used to. Wife thinks I look like a total nerd...but who cares? I put my Mark 3 and 70-200 in the Dig. Holster 50 and it fits nice and snug. Still working on getting the right tightness on the belt in combination with the Pixel Racing Harness. I tend to want to push the holster to the back which makes it want to ride up in the front (just a bit). I like it though. I am just going to have to get used to having things hung around me. I am used to 1 camera body with wrist strap only OR 1 on a monopod. I always have a 2nd and/or 3rd...But left them in the bag. Guessing the Byron Nelson next week in 90 degree temps will be a trial by fire with my 1D3, 300 F2.8 + extenders on a monopod and the 5D2 with 70-200 in the holster. Probably put extra extender and 24-105L in the speed changer along with a few more small items.

Thanks again.
You're welcome—hope you learn to love it as much as I love mine! : )

Mini-Trekker - 06-08-2009, 09:19 PM

I keep coming back to my mini-trekker as the best solution for me with the 70-200. I'm going to see if a TT glass taxi might work in the SLR configuration on their web site.

Inverse 200 AW is what I use. Its very well padded for long hikes and my 70-200 loies hiorizontally qute nicely and ready for action. Water bottle attaches to the side away from my equiptment.

A lot of bags should easily fit this combo so you should have some decent choices. I really like my Tamrac Expedition 5, it fits everything you mentioned plus!

Going to bump this thread because I've finally picked up a Think Tank Streetwalker Pro and love it. It holds a pro series body, or gripped pro-sumer body with my 70-200 2.8L IS attached, with the hood in place and ready to shoot. I've also got 3 large flashes taking up space in there, along with my 17-40L and two smaller slots at the bottom still open. You could easily move out all of the flashes to accomodate more lenses, these are just the two that i use most often and always keep with me. I'll swap others out accordingly. The bag is also very narrow, easily staying between my shoulders, and not protruding out to the sides at all. I have regular sized hands i'd say, and my hand spread open is almost as wide as the bag, if that gives you any reference to its width. Its really great. Very well built and configurable, and decently affordable, considering how much some of the others cost. This was $149 im pretty sure. It also comes with a rain cover, which i think is really cool. Plenty of storage outside of the bag as well.

Think Tank stuff is designed by photographers, for photographers. I highly recommend any of their products.

sorry for the crappy iphone photos

I bought the Inverse 200 AW as well for a cruise. It held my gripped D90 with the kit 18-105 lens, Tokina 12-24, Nikon 10.5 FE, and an SB-800. Stuck my 80-200 in a pouch on the belt. Could not have asked for as better bag. Ran into a downpour, the bag worked great.

I don’t know how many bags I’ve bought and sold because they were just too bulky. I have my Pelican 1510 that I use at the house and in the truck for trips, but I’ve never been able to find a nice smallish back pack to fit my style, that was until I ran across this and a few other recent threads about the Think Tank Streetwalker. It's on the way!
