I got my thinktank international - 05-07-2009, 09:02 PM

today and can't wait to play with the inserts tomorrow. Think I am going to have to send the 17 inch laptop bag back as it doesn't appear it will fit with the computer actually in it.
But none the less I think I am going to like it. Sucks that it is so heavy empty though lol.

So who all has it?

I have the Airport Antidote; fitting it under the airplane seat in front of me sure is nice. I've though about upgrading but right now it wouldn't serve any major purpose (I carry a minimal amount of gear, so I don't need anything much larger).

I have been very impressed with the quality of the Think Tank products and I think you'll be happy with the Airport International.

I have its big brother the Airport Security and felt the same way as you do about the weight. I thought it was going to be an issue but turns out I've come to appreciate the build and quality of this case as I've put it through the mill on several occasions. It's the best travel bag of that size I've ever had and if it does give up the ghost any time I'll be buying the same exact bag to replace it.

Best you can get.

I also have the Airport Ultralight backpack which fits under any seat, can handle up to a 400mm lens and is just as fantastic. The combination of these two represent the perfect bag system for me when traveling.

ThinkTank gets it.

Thanks guys.
I went with the international as I know being in Norfolk we can hope Macs (when we have money lol) to gosh who knows where and if we get stranded I can still get my stuff back on any airline.
And the trip to HI this summer we are only taking carry ons, haven't figured out where my clothes are going yet lol. I am just happy that it holds most everything that I would use out and about. I have left a lense at the beach and a flash at the airport hanger cause my backpack just isn't big enough. Dh about stroked over the lense luckily he doesn't know about the flash lol and both were recovered, so I decided it was finally time to buy the bag I have been asking about for 6 months lol.
Glad to hear ya'll like yours, I was leaning towards a Pelican bag until I talked with several who had it and said they would not buy it again.

The international is my favorite camera bag/case.

Think tank sells an extra set of low-profile dividers that allow you to fit notebook on top of all your gear. Although I'm not sure it will fit a 17in. But you can call Arlington Camera and ask. They know. I think it's $50.

Breezy, that's the bag I use to cart most of my equipment through airports. Although I've never tried it, it was made to fit underneath the seat of some aircrafts. I've always put it in the overhead compartment. I fit the smaller Mac Laptop Pro in the outside pocket.
Works well for me.

I have the AI bag as well and if you're gonna store the laptop inside, then you need the low profile dividers, but bear in mind that depending on the amount of equipment you have, the low profile dividers may not work for you...
I got a set of them, but couldn't use them because of that reason

Thanks all I bought the low dividers and the 17 in bag. But when I asked if it would fit in the bag they guy said yes. I think he was meaning the outside front pocket and not the inside. Still not sure it will fit in the outside pocket though as it is thick.
I will keep them though as I am sure I will have another computer in a couple of years as I think the hard drive is going out on this one.

If you do not like the weight of that bag, the newer Streetwalker HD is not very heavy empty. It is narrower than most bags, so it doesn't stick out and hit objects as you walk by.

I have the Artificial Intelligence 17 and it fits with the bag. It does stick out beyond the pocket but is even on all four side with the International bag. I to have the International bag, and it is my most used bag hands down!

I will say that for the past two years I have been thinking of trading it out for the Aport Security bag since it is bigger, but currently the International fits perfectly in my little Honda S2000.

Don't TT products have a lifetime warranty or am I just imagining that? LOL

I have the TT Airport Security, Urban Disguise 60, and their steroid belt system. I am a TT customer for life...Love them.

how much room does a swimsuit and a tshirt take? Seriously, you might consider going with the intent of buying a couple of shirts or whatever and then mailing them back.. Let the USPS do the job...

Thanks Bruce,
Since I won't be taking all of my lenses etc... I will actually have about half the bag free for clothes. I think we will be fine. That is 5 carry ons and 5 personal bags, that should be more than enough lol, since dh packed all 5 of us for Scotland for 2 weeks in a medium suitcase, carry on, camera bag and computer bag.
I will be trying the Think tank out at my first wedding since getting it Sunday so we will see if I still like it then :D
