Very sharp lens with good color, autofocus leaves a little to be desired, but not terrible. It is a good low-light telephoto lens and isn't very big, so it's good for low-profile shooting. Soft-focus is interesting, but I have not used that feature much. Also makes for a good macro lens when coupled with a 500D or 250D close-up lens.

XTi, 135mm, f/3.5, 1/160th, ISO 400, w/flash, soft-focus set @ 2, manual exposure

XTi, 135mm, f/11, 1/160th, ISO 100, w/flash, w/500D, manual exposure

40D, 135mm, f/3.2, 1/250th, ISO 1600, manual exposure

XTi, 135mm, f/2.8, 1/100th, ISO 400, w/flash, manual exposure

Beautiful! This will be my next lens. Can't afford the 135 f/2.

I was gonna get the 135 soft focus, but I decided to get the 1D Mark III instead.

Recently picked up a copy, SF effect is kinda cool in low light. Very sharp lens with good color/contrast outdoors with good light.

1st photo indoors no flash SF set to 1 on lens, 2nd,3rd photos outdoors SF set to 0. Both on Canon 7D probably TV mode but don't recall, definitely f/2.8
