Nice image, Lance. Just a tip: Next time you shoot snow, dial in +.5 to +1.0 EC. It will turn your gray snow to white.

Love the snow image too. Ok, JohnT, I'm gonna show my "lack of snow shooting knowledge here" What do ya mean "dial in +.5 to +1.0 EC"? And when you explain it, I will be saying, "Oh, yea. I knew that!

EC is exposure compensation. He is saying to shoot 1/2 stop to a full stop overexposed. All the white tricks the camera.

Thanks See, it's all in the wording for me. I knew EC was exposure compensation but the +.5 to +1.0 was not translating for me. But I totally understand "shoot 1/2 stop to a full stop overexposed". I know same thing..........

I will not part with my 135 f2 L. The 135 and my 85 f1.8 are my standard basketball lenses. The 135 focuses very fast, is extremely sharp, and is very light weight.

I really liked that lens when I owned it (razor sharp and beautiful bokeh), but I had a hard time making the FL work for me so I sold it to fund other equipment purchases. Maybe one day I'll get another one.

It just dawned on me that the 135mm f/2 is an approximate "35mm equivalent" on my crop-body camera to Canon's legendary 200mm f/2. Guess I need to make room in my gear bag for one of these.
Judging from the photographs, it appears that chromatic aberrations are very well controlled. Would those of you who own this lens say this is generally true? | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
