This is my hiking lens, primarily. I haven't used it quite as much as I thought I would elsewhere, but it's certainly a fabulous lens (and very lightweight in comparison to the other f/2.8 zoom lenses I'm usually using). I've only used it a small amount with full frame cameras as of yet.

Canon EOS 40D - ISO 1600 | 16 mm | 1/125 sec at f / 2.8

Canon EOS 40D - ISO 200 | 16 mm | 1/250 sec at f / 11

Canon EOS 40D - ISO 200 | 16 mm | 1/250 sec at f / 11

Shawn I just bought this lens. I noticed on your first shot it was at 1600 iso. Did you use a noise reducer (noise nija, noiseware) to get it that clean? I have not had an opportunity to shoot this lens indoors.

Just the default Adobe Lightroom noise reduction that's applied whenever you import RAW files. I've been very happy with the noise characteristics at ISO 1600 on the 40D. I'm using ISO 1600 at least half the time, since I'm frequently shooting low-light indoor action.

I carry around two lenses — this one, and the 50mm f1.4. This photo was taken during a wedding I was shooting. I'm not at my home computer, so I don't have the stats on it.Name: Picture 23.jpg

Canon EOS 40D
1/320s f/18.0 at 22.0mm iso200

The one thing the camera didn't capture was the wonderful penguin call or the smell of the fine granuals of penguin poo covered dirt blowing into my hair and clothes and face.

This is my new favorite lens. I haven't taken it off the camera since I got it.

Here are a few quick shots I grabbed while seeing what this baby could do:

These were all shot with a Canon 5D Mk II (except for the last one of Bruce -- Husky -- where I put it on my 7D).

This is really one of those lenses that you want a full frame sensor for (if you like that balloon-head thing I was going for in these shots, anyway ;) ). There are several more examples on my blog if you're interested.
