Nice capture. Those photos are over-sharpen. There are white halo on the edges especially on top of the buildings.

I missed Dallas

Don't jump to the assumption that halos are only caused by sharpening.
Nik Viveza will also cause the halos when you bump the saturation and contrast.
With some dilligent PP work they can be eliminated. On these images (not income producing) it's not necessary or wanted.
The idea was to create a simulated HDR image without shooting multiple exposures or making multiple merged RAW files.

Halos and other artifacts can be used to make an image unique. YMMV
