So I was tired of people saying they liked my pictures and that I must have a really nice camera. So I went to NYC a few weeks ago and took these with my p&s which by the way is a Canon SD1100 for anyone who might ask or care.

Just thought I would share because it isn't just the camera!

Nice pictures, and you are right, it isn't just the equipment.

Capt, I don't think you are kiddin.... I am not into fancy cooking though. I am into fast but good. Tonight I think I am going for fried chicken, yum!

Nice set, you did a good job showing how a good photographer can take good photos with just about any camera. You might be limited, but you can make it work.

It's one of my peeves too when someone says, "That camera takes nice pictures!" No, I take nice pictures. I often shoot with just a XTi and 28 prime to get away from worrying about the gear. A photographer needs a camera just like a guitarrist needs a guitar, but it's the person not the equipment that take great pictures/makes beautiful music.

I was thinking Babe's Chicken.... never been to eat there. It looks like a fun place though. hmmm.....

I've heard that Babe's is the best chicken around. Haven't been there and will be awaiting your report.

Ha ha....Thanks Tom. Back home in Kansas (yes I get it, not in Kansas anymore ha)... anyways, we had this place called Brookville. Seriously if anyone is ever that way you should check it out http://www.brookvillehotel.com/

On another topic. I am thinking this mock wedding needs to take place in Dec OR something. I am so slow Dec/Feb I might just go out of my mind. Till then.....
