The Texan Gaylord - 02-27-2005, 09:06 PM

I'm going to be doing an engagement shoot at the Texan Gaylord this Saturday so I went to take some pics to show the new couple to be (they've never been there) so they could decide what colors to wear.

This is my first post here so I hope the picture thing works.

Let me know what you think. The rest of my pics can be found at the following link:

Hopefully, I'm doing this right.

Thanks Paul. I've taken lots of shots of my kids, but I always get a little nervous when doing the "real thing".

Hey Abel - the Gaylord is up here in Grapevine, about 15+ minutes from where I live. It is a great place, but, from what I hear, it is smaller than the other Gaylords. The one in Nashville is twice as big. So much for that old saying.

Brian,

It's good to see you posting on this forum; keep on. We'll all benefit. I checked out your smugmug album of potential places at the Gaylord for the engagement shoot; very comprehensive set of possibilities for them to consider.

Previewing these with the couple seems like a great idea: they can pick the theme, matching colors, and even where exactly to have the pictures taken. Should save a great deal of time versus wandering around that place.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for the kind comments. That was my idea, exactly - to provide something beforehand that will allow people to come up with ideas as to how they want the shoot to go.

I'm working on taking pictures like this all over the Dallas/Fort Worth area - and any other places I feel I can travel to in a reasonable time.
