Wes,

Is that a detail off one of the big lights in front of The Hall of State?

Did you do a series?

Yes, it is from the large lanterns in the plaza in front of the Hall of State. I did several of them but only the ones that were lit with the really strong side light from the sun going down. So I have maybe 2 or 3 more. Of course, I have a Woofus, the archer, several of the exhibition hall statues that were lit...

I just finished work, so I didn't have any time to work on them tonight...

Here are 2 more... another figure from the lantern base at the Hall of State, and, of course, another Woofus.

The sunlight was very striking that day - - great shadows and great color.

Texas can exist without the United States, but the United States, cannot, except at great peril, exist without Texas. Sam Houston.

Ah-ha! You mean an interloper like me knows where something is that a true Texan does not???!!! LOL!

It is over by the stock arenas back behind the main mall where you shots in your other thread are... if you go behind the Hall of Texas, there will be pavilions and halls for the various types of exhibits you see at a State Fair, and at the end of that row is a learge collection of agricultural buildings. The Woofus is there.

Where in the world is the Woofus?

As you face the Hall of State. (That is the building with the golden Archer)

There is a road on the left. You follow that road, it runs between the Food & Fiber building and the Embarcadero / Arts and Crafts building.

You take the first road to the left. The Woofus is outside of the Swine building ( I think thats what they call it)

The Woofus is about a half block down, about 12 ft up in the air.

This is all on the backside of the Cotton Bowl.

Jeff's triptych ( post 25 ) is high on the wall opposite and a little before the Woofus.
