This one was at Brazos Bend State Park (40 Acre Lake) - almost Houston. Painted the pier with a flashlight and red filter.

Looking at the preview, they all look a bit too dark. I probably need to check my monitor cal...

Thank you Fred. Here are the settings:

11mm (Promaster superwide 11 -18mm lens)
f5.6
20 second exposure time
ISO 320

I painted the pier with a Surefire flashilght that had a red lens for about 15 of the 20 seconds.

Just fyi, I never strip out the EXIF data so if you get KUSO EXIF viewer or Opanda or one of those you can right click my photos, scroll down to Open with Kuso or whatever and it will show you all the nitty gritty details. However, on startrails or composite photos, the info might be missing or misleading. It's in there for this one because it was only one shot.

Thank you David. That seems to be a favorite. I liked the Metro train the best myself. I just kept wishing I had been able to paint out farther on that pier, however the instructor in the course said it was best not to paint out farther so I would get the separation from the horizon.

Rich, Welcome to TPF! And thanks for the kind words. You are right. I was a bit worried about stepping on an alligator out there. I did use my flashlight to walk out there.
