Galveston Strand, After hours

On the way to the beach, I stopped by the Strand. Wanted to catch the Strand with nobody around.

Hey, I like it also, especially the shadows coming off the windows and then your shadow. Why do they call it the Strand?

Thanks Guys, it was about 4:30 am. I was headed to Boliver for the sunrise and to do some birding on the beach

Thats the name of the street. Back in the late 1800, early 1900 it was the main street in galveston for businesses and commerce, The port of Galveston is about 2-3 blocks on the left side. Hard to believe this street was under 8 ft of water during Hurricane Ike 2 years ago. The top of the yellow sign on the right is approx 8 ft.
