Here's a couple angles I took of a dumpy, rusted, and beat up Exit sign on campus. Not really my best work, but I wanted to share them and I'm impulsive and it's late.

Oh, and this was about 10-12 feet up, so I was holding the camera up in the air and trying to stand on my tip-toes and do all kinds of weird stuff to get the angle i actually wanted; it earned me some hysterical looks from a few Interior Design majors. I'm so glad to bring a little neurotic artistry into stranger's lives.

I definitely prefer the second for the texture of the bottom of the sign. It's also a more original perspective of what is an otherwise very boring, mundane object. I'm not crazy about the first, except that it does a good job capturing perspective and angles. You should see what this thing looks like after dark. Illuminated? Longer exposure from a tripod would be interesting.

pretty sure the lights don't work in it anymore. the art building isn't so hip on keeping things up to fire code.

for instance, this bell is a few feet away from it. doubt it would do much good saving us from fire or nukes or whatever it was designed for!
