Gyeongbok Palace-Seoul - 10-09-2011, 12:14 PM

Critique: CC:

I was fortunate enough to learn that the palace was open to the public at night for one of the few rare times a year that they keep it open. I decided to let this night be my jump back into my favorite hobby.

Edit: fixed

I like the first image - the reflection makes the image. The blurred people in the second image are a bit distracting to me.

I was in Korea for a year back in 2002 and went to Gyeongbok Palace several times and shot many rolls of film, but when I moved from CT back to TX, a box was lost in the move that had negatives and slides from many years in it and I no longer have any pictures of it, but I still have one of my entry tickets. Thanks for the nice memories!

I heard that a lot of it had been damaged or destroyed by fire a year or two after I returned...

I welcome comments on any picture I post... Thanks.

The first picture is absolutely beautiful, and I agree that the flawless reflection makes the image.

I like the people blur in the second image. Gives the effect of movement and liveliness while ghostly at the same time.

Thanks for the comments. I was a bit frustrated when I was trying to take the shot of the corridor. There were alot of people and they just did not care that I was trying to take a picture. Oh well.
