Great light. I was there a few nights ago and rode that with my daughter.

I was there two years ago and had that same lighting! I don't recall the roller coaster though. Is that somewhat new?

I am told by longtime Houston dwellers that the Bullet rollercoaster has been here 15 to 20 years.

Anyone know better details?

Ask the guy who's house is underneath it :| According to wiki (and 3rd graders are never wrong when they update those pages) it was built in 2007.

Well it sounds like it certainly would have been there when I went two years ago. Thanks for the info.

Now that is a dedicated photographer. Soooo excited by the warm light that you completely missed the giant, noisy roller coaster!

Ha, last time I was out at Kemah, when we arrived it was stuck and people were sitting in it just waiting. When we passed by about an hour later, it was still stuck with people in it. After 15-20 minutes, I think I would have taken the stairs down.

Hopefully the repairs after the hurricane made it function better.

As for the carousel, I haven't seen that before either, but the two levels is pretty neat.

I can get tunnel vision at times when I am shooting.

Oooh, like the sea horse/dragon combo. The colors make these pictures so much fun.
