Sundance West, Fort Worth

This is a discussion on Sundance West, Fort Worth within the City Life forums, part of the Showcase category; I liked the color and light in this one. Looks like a pleasant place to live in downtown Fort Worth....

I like it. Like the symmetry in the building too. Now I need to know if you got some new walking shoes and if you moved to downtown? You have been seriously busy lately sir.

As always, Roy, I appreciate your comments and your encouragement. I was really feeling down on Tuesday this week due to some "issues" with students at school. Come Wednesday, I just went downtown with the camera; parked the car; put 8 quarters in the meter; and then took a 2-hour walking loop around downtown. I took 100 shots and got a fair number of decent ones IMHO. Came home and started processing them. Best therapy I could have come up with.

I agree!! Best therapy is to get out and create!! The green reminds me of the woolworth building in NYC.

Photography is "great therapy". The cost of my equipment was the best money I have ever spent as far as my mental health goes. Photography relieves stress, stretches the imagination and makes the eyes and brain see things that on a normal day it might miss.

Thank you. Speaking of getting out: have you visited the "Forbidden Gardens?" It's right there in Katy.

BTW: I toured your online gallery. You've done some nice things there; you have a good perspective and are artistically very capable with the camera.

Hi Bruce! Yes, I have been to forbidden gardens and we are going back as a "houston group" soon. We are trying to talk them into letting us wander freely as you are only allowed to go with the tour group at moment. Boo! I was there several years ago and you could wander freely. Thanks for the comments on my gallery!!

Here's a tip. Take two successive tours: on the first plan your shots; on the second, pay no attention to the guide and just take photos -- all you have to do is stay within eyesight of the guide. It'll work.
