NYC Trip (17 Photos) - 11-13-2007, 12:28 PM

Hey guys, I just got back from vacation in NYC. Had a GREAT time with my wife and another couple. Thought I would share some photos from the trip. It was cold the whole trip but it didnt bother us.

First night we went down to times square

On the way back to the hotel we stopped an emipre state to admire the view

Friday was a busy day ...the agenda
hit soho, china town, little italy in the morning
walk accross Brooklyn Bridge
visit WTC memorial
take staten island ferry to get a close view of statue of liberty
broadway show at 8:00........heres how it went down

went thru Little Italy, china town, soho

Caught subway to brooklyn
( my beautiful wife )

Walked around brooklyn hieghts

Stopped for lunch had the best pizza in the world at grimaldi's

Walked back accross brooklyn bridge

View from the bridge

Went to visit WTC.....but ran out of time before getting to statue of liberty.... oh well

I have to pause here and tell you about the play we wanted to see Wicked. It was getting great reviews but we did not get tickets ahead of time. We got there and asked the concierge if she could get us tickets. She said she doubted it since it was the most popular show on broadway. How ever she would try. We got to our room unpacked and she called us to tell us ticket master was on the phone they just happened to have 4 tickets on the 10th row for friday night......needless to say we snatched them up.

Now thats cool all on its own but on top of that we went to see the show friday. It was the best play I have ever seen I highly recommend it. We get back to the hotel from the play Friday after dinner and we are watching the news. All of the Broadway stage hands are going on strike effective immediatly .....the show we saw was the last show until they resolve the srtike.

Saturday we take the subway out to yankee stadium to see the house that babe built

Unfortunitly our luck had run out ....the tour tickets were sold out ....this is as close as we got

So we headed over to shop on 5th St went to FAO Swartz and a bunch of other boring places the girls wanted to go like ....tiffanys, macys, bloomingdales

We stopped in central park and this guy attempted to draw my wife and I

Last stop of the day some restraunt called serindipity
This is us with our frozen hot chocolate

Last day .....as if this post wasnt long enough
Walked out of my hotel and ran right into a parade ....apparently it was veterans day

Then we hung out in central park the rest of the day

Matt,
Great Series, looks like you guys had fun, My wife and I went in January, We saw Wicked too, actually the reason we went to NY. You are right, it is an Awesome show. I am just a small town guy, I truly thought i would hate the city, Honest to God I would move there tonight!.

Great shots, made me miss the city.

Jesus made me remember that part of my trip, if you didn't get the chance and ever go back you HAVE TO GO to B&H. My wife made me leave my Credit Cards at the Hotel. She knew!

heheh What a GREAT Series!! My parents are from the bronx and I still have family scattered all over NY and NJ. The last time I was in the city I was 17 years old and I MISS IT! Hubby has never been to NY at all, so we are planning a trip in the very near future to go there. Thank you for sharing!

that's the location they filmed the movie "Serendipity" with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. The movie made the cafe a tourist trap. Good dessert, but long lines.

Great shots!! Miss the city, I would move back there in a heartbeat.

Former NY'er here!
Serendipity is awesome!
I have not seen Wicked yet, but I have to say that the best show to see when in NYC is RENT. We've seen it twice so far in NYC during visits back.
I wanted to see Wicked here in Houston but never made it.
BTW, we just saw Avenue Q here in Houston... now THAT was funny! Very entertaining.

Ok sorry, great pics! And that drawing looks just like you from what I can see!

NYC is great, I miss it a lot... glad you had a good time.
