Yet another example of abandoned and decaying farm and ranch buildings in Central Texas, as land becomes increasingly valuable to developers and decreasingly so to the individual or family farmer or rancher, who has a grueling enough time eking out a living in this day of corporate agribusiness.

This one near Round Rock.

I'm taking a basic Photography class at a community college. One of our last assignments was on the theme of "What Remains." I decided to shoot abandoned or vacant buildings. Then, for my final project, I decided to expand on the theme of abandoned buildings. I shot structures from Frisco to Silver City, New Mexico, for my project. I would like to have gotten more, but I ran out of time. There are vacant and abandoned buildings all over the place!

It's funny how you chose a mild sepia tone for your image. I made all of mine sepia toned, too.
