PPA doing a roadshow and stops in Dallas on April 14th

$29 in advance, $49 at the door-at the DoubleTree over by Market Hall-starts at 5:30 and runs till around 11:00 pm.

May get a chance to meet other shooters and hear a couple good speakers for a reasonable fee.

Great workshop, lots of useful info. My only wish was to hear more from Tony Corbell. He was fabulous and funny! It was worth my two-hour trip and my dog-tired self today (got home at almost 1am) and especially for the awesome prize I won. I got a $200 gift certificate to Graphic Authority. How cool is that?!

I agree Charrie. It was nice to get "back" to the basics of photography and quit worrying about the latest trends. He delivered very well!

Yes, I won a scholarship to Texas School!

And I was there with my "work wife" Liddie Deshotel. Since it was "celebrity night", I was Brad Pitt and she was Angelina Jolie. She divorced me at the end of the night. I got the house and she got the kids. ;)

My (real) wife Julie was home with Kamryn.

It was awesome and I too wish Tony would've had more of the spot light. Alyson and Jeff were great but the second half didn't seem to have the spark of the first.

That's three nights in a row now that I have not been in bed before 1:30am and had to get up at 7... poor baby!

Oh, so sorry Wil! That's what I get for assuming anything. And I forgot you won the scholarship to the Texas School. You lucky dog! I would love to go but since I just started in business this year, just can't afford it. Hopefully next year.

Now I'm gonna check out Liddie's website since Tony raved about her work, too. And I agree about the "spark" going out a bit on the second half, but don't you think that was maybe related to how late it was and everyone was really tired? At least I know it was for me. I was so tired that I could hardly stay awake to concentrate, much less drive home.

Liddie is awesome. She's such an amazing person as well as a great photographer. She just finished her Craftman's certificate and she's just about finished with her Master's I believe. She's definitely one of my BFFs.

And I think you're right. I was really tired after Tony spoke and had no caffeine to rely on for the "pep". I kept mentally drifting in and out. I thought they did an excellent job and it was WELL worth every penny... which was $29 if you pre-registered.
