Houston: Photoshop Creativity Tour - February 15th

I got a brochure in the mail about the tour coming to Houston. $99 for "5 info-packed classes".

I've never been to a Photoshop class before and wonder how hard it is to follow along and also be able to do the stuff learned once I got home.

Can anyone tell me what to expect?

I've been thinking about it, got my NAPP thing in the mail the other day. The teacher is Bert Monroy and he is usually a painter in PS...so I'm still debating it.

I'm not going because I live 30 hours by car from Houston, but I have been to one of these classes...mine was taught by Dave Cross. It was really good, I learned a lot, it was easy to follow even though there was about 500 people there. Have fun...wish I could go. I'm a homesick Houstonian.

I took this last year. While Bert is a fantastic artist, the use for the information to photographers in very limited. They imply that it covers a lot about using layers, but the material could be summed up by saying to put everything on an individual layer so you could go back and edit it if a change is needed.

There is another seminar coming up in Austin next month that is more geared toward photographers. I've been to it before and will go this time. I get something out of it every time.
