Dallas: Leslie Spurlock: The Workshop II - March 21st - 02-06-2010, 08:10 AM

SOLD OUT (starting a wait list)

I was convinced by two attendees of the last workshop to do another one, just like it. It will be very similar to the last one, but this time there will be a max. of 10 people, and there will be more one on one instruction during shooting time. We will also be shooting at the Cotton Mill this time.

When: March 21, 2010
Where: M Group Design Studio at the Cotton Mill
Price: $350
Time: 8:30am to 6pm
Included: Hands on instruction, breakfast, lunch, a set of LR presets that I created
What to bring: Laptop, if you have one, with LR and PS, preferrably. If you don't have one, no worries. We will use mine. An open mind, I do things differently from a lot of people. It may or may not work for you, but it's worked for me, and I will show you.
Limited to 10 people
Registration:

Samples from the last workshop: The Cotton Mill- Workshop Faves {McKinney, Texas} Posh Photography & Designs

We will be having an "on location" shoot in the morning (bridal or engagement). I will be shooting and showing you how I do what I do, and then you will be allowed to shoot, as well. We will come back to the meeting area, and you will be shown my whole process from in camera, LR, cataloging, PS, and final product. I will show you how I work with flash on camera. Each student will pick out 5 of their favorite images, and we will go through how I would work them. The latter half of the day will be on weddings, from the initial email, my response, I will show you what I take to a meeting (if I meet with the client), and anything else you want to know about how I work weddings. I will also show some raw samples and how I work them, as well as go through what I give to clients and my package. If we have time, we can talk about "sexy" bridals. No secrets here!

IMPORTANT: Everyone that is attending needs to go to and download the waiver in order to shoot at the Cotton Mill. Here's the info. for it from Darla: If they date it for March 21st, I won't keep them on file. If they think they may come back to shoot, they can put "ongoing shoots 2010" so I will keep it on file. Please make sure they put Spurlock Workshop at the top so as they come in, I know who they belong to. Also, you will need to send it to them and let me know that it's been sent. Here is the address:

Darla Lovett

610 Elm Street
Suite 120
McKinney, Texas 75069

Thanks! They will not let you shoot there without this, and VERY IMPORTANT!! It must be notorized!

Attendees:

1. Amy
2. Marlon
3. Nicole Lucas
4. Kevin Mai
5. Sasha
6. Sanjay

8. Margie Brown
9. Lyncca
10. Regina Eco

Yes, it went up by $100 because there is half as many people, and we are paying to use the rest of the Cotton Mill. Last time, we didn't use the Cotton Mill to shoot. So, it didn't go up much considering.

Grr! Leslie come to Houston!

edit: $350 still isn't bad at all. I'd be all over this if I was up there.

$350 is an AWESOME price for a full day workshop with a small class size with Leslie. I know we had folks that came to our more $ workshops and left with images and skills that helped them sell packages 3x that amount shortly after. Workshops and classes are an investment. Leslie is someone to learn from. She's an awesome photographer and great teacher. Don't buy another lens this quarter - go to this instead. :o)

We can rent a mansion.

I'll teach boudoir upstairs and you can teach weddings downstairs. :O)

Then we can do sassy bridals in the middle.
