This one-day workshop is a perfect next step for students having completed “Introduction to Studio Lighting” or looking to advance their studio lighting skills. Instructor Maura C. Lanahan will conduct the class by focusing on three images, selected collaboratively before the workshop begins through email communication with the students, and attempting to recreate those images within the workshop time frame. A large focus of the class will be on building teamwork. A “learn by doing” atmosphere will be created and students should come prepared to be “assistants” and offer their own ideas of how to accomplish the final image. Artistic freedom of thought will be encouraged throughout the creative process.
