Artistic Nude workshop (Jan 29th - Sacramento)

In this workshop we will be working with shooting a model on black Plexiglas as well as combining studio strobe and the ambient light for some neat shots. If you have ever wanted to try something like this then this is the workshop for you!

The fee is $120 per student due to the small class size to cover the studio, materials, and model fee. You must submit your payment via PayPal in order to guarantee your spot. Once you RSVP I will send you my PayPal address if you need it.

We will be shooting in the studio and the model will be posing on a sheet of Plexiglas for some really cool reflection effects. We will be doing several different setups with the model during the shoot. I will provide ~45 minutes of instruction on the lighting and setup prior to the shoot. I have a number of cool props and things to take this toward more of a "Cupid" type theme for 1 or 2 of the setups and a Artistic Nude Landscape setup for the others. As time allows we will explore other classic artistic nude type setups and posing.

Schedule

9:00 - 9:45 Overview and instruction on the basic setup and methods for capturing strobe and ambient light in your shots.

10:00 - 12:30 Shooting and instruction with the model. I will cover posing suggestions, lighting tips for getting the look and feel that we are looking for. I will be shooting tethered so I can show the results as I shoot. Each photographer will take a turn shooting and directing the model for each setup.

12:30 - 1:00 Wrap up and questions and answers

I am limiting this workshop to 5 participants so that everyone get more time to shoot and direct the model. I expect we will get through at least 3 if not 4 setups during the session. I am expecting this session to be a lot of fun and a great opportunity to get some very nice looking shots for your portfolio.
What you need to participate:

• Camera capable of "Manual" shooting
• A tripod (I will have at least one spare)
• Cable release (optional as you can use the self timer, I will have a spare canon controller for the Canon XXD series cameras as well)
• PocketWizard (optional as I will have spares)

Included with the workshop fees I will provide:

• Model for the session and a promotional release for all participants
• The setup and props for the described shots
• Beverages
