I just wanted to throw my 2c in - this was an excellent workshop.

It was definitely worth the drive down, and I don't think anyone left without learning at least a few things...

Hi all. This was such a great seminar that my notes were not as complete as I would like. Mark mentioned that someone was working up a light stand similar to the Red Wing Quickstand that he used. I think the last name was Hall but not sure. Does anyone have better notes than I do or any information on who is doing it?

Thanks

David

David -

I wish I could help, but he didn't actually give the name of the person. Hopefully Mark will reply to this post with the information himself...

Personally, I dropped by Fort Worth Camera the day after the seminar, and was pleased to find out they actually still had a RedWing (and yes, I snagged it...)

You might try calling some of the other camera shops in the area, you'd be amazed at what they might still have in inventory, that hasn't seen the light of day in years.....

Great Idea! I think I'll be on the phone most of the day today.

The guy's name is Rick Hall and he will be manufacturing and importing them from China. I think he said that he is looking for the first shipment around the end of the year. Here is the contact info for Rick's wife: Cheryl Hall Photography cheryl@creativeimagesbydesign.com

Don and Mike.....Thanks for the info

Rick's version is beefier than the original, and looks to be better built than the Redwing.

Thanks all. I'll hold out a few weeks and see how it develops. I'm really looking forward to having something like this to use.
