PS CS4 - OpenGL Video Card? - 05-21-2009, 09:17 AM

I just received my new desktop pc. After installation of PS CS4 I noticed that PS obviously doesnt support the video card (onboard Intel G33/31 chipset). That's why I'm not able to enable the OpenGL option in PS. I probably have to face the fact that I need to buy a new video card.
Before I do that I want to make sure the new one is supported and recognized by PS CS4 (OpenGL).
Can anyone give me a recommendation? It doesn't have to be anything fancy (or too expensive), I'm not a gamer. Just something that works reliably with PS CS4. Would be nice if I could keep it at a budget of around $100 or less.

Any of the current ATI/NVidia cards should work fine, you don't have to get an expensive one. You do want plenty of memory though, as it affects how many documents you can have open in Photoshop (open too many and OpenGL will get disabled). But there are plenty of sub-$100 cards with 512MB or even 1GB of memory.
