I've been running my MBP in full 64bit mode since 10/30 with no issues. Been running just fine including Photoshop, Illustrator, CaptureOne Pro v5, all the Office 2008 apps, Mail, Safari, iTunes, & PhotoMechanic. No issues whatsoever.

Of course my Mac Pro won't work because of the 32bit EFI in the Rev A main logic board. There have been some using the Pystar hack on a USB stick, but I'm not going there...

In short here are the three modifications I made:

1 - replace the boot.efi file and bless it (see post #35 in that thread)
2 - replace the WiFi driver using IO80211Family.kext (see post #66)
3 - edit /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist add arch=x86_64 (see post #22)

Reboot once, perhaps twice. I only needed one reboot.

This is probably not 64-bit issues as i have boo-boos with OSX as much as my Vista. Photoshop and Dreamweaver CS4 crashed once, Little Snitch not working, and froze when machine went in screen saver mode, the latter cost me as i have to hard reset the machine, some codings done were not saved!! May be it's not a good idea with 64-bit. :)
