iMac for editing

I have the new iMac 27" (i7) with the backlit LED screen. The screen is SOOOOOOO freaking bright there is absolutely NO issues with glare for me. You would be so spoiled with it in a matter of minutes. I use Aperture. You talk about a screen made for pixel peeking! Images are huge on this thing. I have only had it ~month, but am extremely happy with it. I have not calibrated it however. I have ordered several prints from 3 different on-line retailers (MPix, dotPhoto, and Snapfish) in order to test the colors I get from what I see on my screen. They have all been spot on (I always order with no color correction)

Glad you like the Imac. That 27-inch screen sounds amazing. Lots of my friends complain about the brightness, etc., but I'm like you. I just love looking at photos on the big Imacs. Most of mine end up at Flickr or competition photos at my club, so no printing involved. I really like being able to edit at full-screen. Enjoy your new Imac. They're expensive, but well worth it in my opinion.
