I was afraid of that. Guess I'll hang on to it until it's dead. It's still usable after the flickering stops.

I just replaced my video card with a GeForce 9500GT 1GB DDR2 Ram - PCI-E 2.0.
Fry's has it for $59 with a ten dollar rebate.

It has dual monitor jacks if that is what you are also considering.

Maybe they just forgot to leave the self-degaussing setup out of that one

Lately, I buy all my monitors and parts from Microcenter. Many times I've found that they are way cheaper than Fry's, and definitely more knowledgeable ( I hate talking to an 18 year old at frys that know less than the consumer). Definitely worth a look if your close!

Can anyone suggest a budget friendly monitor that is NOT TN? I need to get a new monitor soon. Also, where do you recommend purchasing them at? When I'm searching online, will it indicate PVA or IPS? Thanks

we own this monitor and love it...once we got it snf calicrated it, our prints were coming out pretty close to WYSIWYG.

otherwise you are looking at a lacie or something of the like. may be a dell or something else out there.
