Problems installing hardware calibration software - 03-16-2010, 06:47 PM

I just bought the eye-one display LT by x-rite and after installing the software and plugging in the display device, Windows 7 came up with a message telling me there was no valid digital signature.

I went to the x-rite website and tried to download the v3.6.2 which says it includes the drivers for Windows 7 but it gets halfway to downloading and just sits there idle. I've tried three times, researched a different place to get the drivers (all direct me back to x-rite) and don't know what else to do.

Anyone have any suggestions? This was NOT cheap calibration software so I'm anxious to get it to work. Thanks!

Just talked to X-rite, and they said there's something wrong on my end cuz it's working fine on theirs so I'm going to try a few more things. May get back to you Rich.

Had to download it on my desktop and used a jump drive to get it on my laptop. Don't know what the problem was but at least it's solved now. Nothing is ever easy, is it?

It might have been an issue with UAC. I disabled mine. Sometimes I have to install apps on Win7 by right-clicking the EXE and chose "Run as Administrator" (even though I'm an administrator on the machine).

EDIT: You weren't having issues installing it, but downloading it. Gotcha. I'll leave my initial comment up anyway. It might be useful to someone.
