So this morning I'm sitting in front of the new Mac migrating all my files from the PC, and while stuff is copying I decide to cruise one of my forums. The color difference bit me like a snake! I can't believe the difference in the Mac monitor! I knew it was superior to the laptop, but I didn't know the laptop was THAT bad... gees. Can y'all see the difference in the yellow color? Now I realize the importance of a really expensive monitor, and not the $100 walmart special.

This is SOOC, only resized for web.

Yeah, big difference. I just upgraded my desktop monitors to two NEC P221W-BK 22" monitors. Covers 96% of the abodeRGB color gamut. I was amazed at the difference from my samsungs, which by all accounts are suppose to be good monitors. I ran the samsungs calibrated but still the NEC's calibrated have superior tones on an order of magnitude. Worth every penny...

Congrats on the purchase, you will come to love your Mac. The monitor colors IS a huge difference. Believe it or not, you will still want to calibrate the Mac monitor as I have found out of the box, most are not close to being color perfect.
