I have a new monitor and need to things in great, no good condition. I have a window directly behind me and have resisted changing the room. I still want to resist, but I'm thinking I may have too. If i buy one of those hood thingies will that fix my window problem, or will I still need to rearrange my office?

If the window's behind you the hood isn't going to help at all. Afraid you're going to have to rearrange :-)

Just get a window darkening roll-up shade.
