Dont know if this is the same one Sonny listed but...
This is the one that I purchasedhere
Haven't had any major problems, but you will need the screws if you don't already have some.

about 30 dollars cheaper than when i got them about 3 months ago.

I say major cause I ran a fix on some sectors and haven't had a problem.

I've also had very good luck with Western Digital internal hard drives, Abel.

And Frys often has a "deal" every week on 1 TB or better.

Shhhh, we mexicans don't like it when y'all say RAID! They've gotta come up with another name for that. I sure am glad they done away with those racists IDE hard drives...pft...Master and Slave.

+1 for the Western Digital Caviar Black series. I believe them to be the fastest and best built consumer level drives available.

Performance and space per dollar is best at the 1.5TB mark right now. If the size specification of 2TB exists for reasons you can't get around, the WD Caviar Black series represents your best bet, IMO, for performance and reliability. The same is true in the 1.5TB ballpark.

I've heard/read about too many issues with the 1.5 TB drives, definitely agree on the WD drives though! :)

I might suggest that the tales of the 1.5TB are because their sales volume is so incredibly high. In the last year I've put at least 45 of them into use, many in production environments, and only had to RMA two of them. This does of course bring up the fact that all drives will fail at some point. I do my backups offsite and online. This includes my images, since those are the one thing I can't rebuild. If I lose my music/movies I can get those back. My personal files have long been encrypted and backed up on a cloud service (and my own server, and a few other places) so I can get to them anywhere. Right now I'm using Carbonite for this machine. It took about a month to finish the initial backup. Costs less than building a backup array and rotating out drives and fills the offsite requirement. Works for me!
