more black clouds!! - 10-20-2010, 08:11 PM

OMG...I hope that within a couple weeks...I am soooo done with the computer black cloud stuff!! I sent the Dell back and am back on the laptop. It appears the cd drive isn't working any more. Insert any cd, no sounds, no nothing. So I insert a cd into the kids desktop...nothing. ????? Put in a photo cd, and it shows the photos. The cds I'm trying to look at are Graphic Authority cds. It wouldn't read my Photoshop cd either.

Both computers are very low on memory...could this be an issue? I would really just like to transfer the files to a hard drive, but I can't get either computer to even show what files are on the cd....just plain wierd....

the first thing that pops into my mind is whether or not you have strictly a CD drive or a CD/DVD drive ..most likely that photo CD is exactly that - a CD, and that the others are DVD's.

Great...and our "guard" dogs are easily bribed with food. There is also the iMac. Excellent, lower priced alternative.

2 more words, Bend over.

As in bend over on price for a PC with a different OS. But still, changing OS wouldn't fix her issue.

Mail me the CD.

True, but Renae has had major computer issues over the past few months. Some self-inflicted, some caused by others. Just sounds like it might be a good time to start afresh.
