What is nice about the app store is the licensing. Purchase from there can be installed on any personal machine up to 5. So buy aperture and you can have it on your laptop, desktop, etc.. For 80.

I just use aperture as an example since iuse lr3. Guess I will apply the update and take a look around.

I tried Aperture when I first got my Macbook Pro in '09. The machine is fast, but I didn't like how slow Aperture ran on it. It lagged a lot and process times were too slow. LR is much faster. I just assume you have to have a good Mac Pro to run Aperture smoothly.

There's a reason it's $80. Just think about it.

Curious...
I read about that price on RG, so I went to have a look, out of curiosity. I already have Aperture 3 on my computer, since I upgraded from 2. The App store knew that because it displayed "Installed" where the price should have been.....!

Anybody think 'Big Brother' doesn't know what you're doing....???

Cool ... I am still using Aperture 2, so I might have to go up there and get the full version of Aperture 3 for 80 bucks. I have used both, but I still like Aperture. BTW it runs pretty smooth and quick on my MacBook Pro.
