Well before mine got jacked out of my truck I was using it to show my "portfolio" so to speak. I would also take it to our baseball tournaments and let the parents pass it around and order pics.

I know there are many other uses for it but since I am mainly an enthusiast that is what I used it for

I would just sync with itunes and do it that way. I really didn't have much time to experiment before it was stolen. I am going to wait for the next generation to come out before I drop the money on another one.

I've used it as an on site sales tool... let the customer scroll through images in the built in photo viewer while I took orders on the laptop.

And last night, I downloaded an app that allows me to use the iPad as a secondary monitor.. just gotta be on the same WiFi network.. I'm thinking that might make a slick presentation tool in combination with something like ProSelect.

I've thought about it.. but hadn't been motivated to spend the money to figure out if it would work in my workflow..

I use it to allow clients to pick the images they want on a CD, so I don't have to bring the MacBook Pro out. I just load all their images on the iPad and when I meet with them I just hand them the iPad and have them scroll through.

One of the biggest things I use it for is for contracts. I bought the NoteTakerHD app and all I do is open up the contract on the iPad and have them sign the contract with a stylus and then I email them the signed contract and to myself so we both have a record.

I LOVE THIS IPAD MORE THAN MY MBP. The only time I use my MBP is to edit photos.

TO EVERYONE THAT READS, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ELECTRONICS IN YOUR VEHICLE, THEY WILL GET STOLEN. I WOULD RATHER KEEP IT WITH ME AT ALL TIMES UNLESS MY TRUCK IS PARKED IN MY GARAGE... Sorry you got yours stolen :(

Gotta check for the iPad but Verizon Fios has an app which lets you show your photos on a Fios TV wirelessly through Widgets.

Specializing in run on sentences since 1934 or there abouts.

Scottevest.com has jackets with an iPad inner pocket, in fact they have a bunch of hidden inner pockets.

Photos don't show the file name in the regular viewer. How do you have them identify the individual photos they want?

Thanks. Checking it out.

Can you only view your photos in Sort Shots in a thumbnail or slideshow mode, or can you see it large and flick from one to the next as in teh built-in viewer?

I use it for a portable portfolio (Portfolio to Go) and to do electronic property and model releases (Easy Release). I also use it for posing ideas to show clients, a picture is worth a thousand words after all.

Ohh, and a prop:

A sample release which is email to both me and the model.

That's a very clever use of it as a prop, Ray...

I got one of the Scottevests especially so I could take the iPad with me - it works great and no one would ever be the wiser that you had one on you.
