26" x 26" Prints needed - 01-18-2011, 04:38 PM

I need to print 26x26. Anybody have experience with a wide format capable of doing this? I was hoping to find one less than $800. Used would even be fine, or a service that would print for me for under $20 each print. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

mpix.com has 24x36. it's $44.99....given that price (and they've always seemed pretty cheap to me) i doubt you'd find it for under that anywhere else...

also keep in mind that for a 20x30 print, you'd need minimum a 2000x3000 pixel image, but 5000x7500 is optimal (ymmv though).....

neither a wide format for $800 or a lab print for less than $20 is likely to happen. For Epson printers you'd have to go with a 44" wide printer, which is HUGE. You can buy used 7600's for $500 or less sometimes, but they max out at 24".
