CS4 Install problems - 04-08-2011, 08:07 AM

I recently upgraded my software to CS4. Last night I went to Adobe to upgrade my ACR so I could open raw files and found this update and some other updates for this software. I downloaded them with no problems, but when It came time to install, this is where it became weird.
The install bar would start as normal, but when approx ¼ of the way across it would stop and start over. This went on for about 5 min, then a message popped up ask if I wanted to skip this install and continue. I clicked yes and it would start again. This time it proceeded a bit farther, and would start doing the repeat again.
After the third time of clicking proceed with install and when it started repeating its self again I just shut the whole mess down.
Anyone with a clue as to what is going on?
Win XP
Thanks Fred

Have you posted to Adobe's support forum? The few times I've had issues with Adobe software, I could depend on getting a good answer there. Of course you need to have an Adobe ID, but that's not a big deal. Just sign up it's free.

What updates are you talking about....ACR? What version do you need? Remember that you can only use ACR version 5.x and not 6
