Cool i7-2600 Desktops - 05-10-2011, 09:57 PM

I ordered an i7-2600 desktop machine from Amazon right at the time Intel announced the SATA problems with the Sandy Bridge chip-set. I received the shipment and promptly returned it to Amazon and got a full refund. I have been watching multiple websites to order from again but built-up systems with an i7-2600 or i7-2600K seem to be slow coming back on the market. I expected more systems to hit the market in April. Am i missing something?

There is the Dell XPS 8300 line that can be configured with an i7-2600. I just built an i5-2500k system for my son, and there was plenty of choice for Sandy Bridge rev3 boards. Not sure what's up with the retail channel.

Or you could get a new Sandy Bridge iMac :)

I agree! That i5-2500k I built is a real screamer, and it was pretty cheap too.
