Very good brand. I also like Kingston and OCZ.

Oh god, NO

Tell me the laptop and I will send you the best deal/quality.

I loath those people. Friend of mine had an SSD crash (wasn't my build) and she had a warranty through them. They tried to sell her another brand for some reason. They told her that they have had MANY come back because the battery dies and it renders the drive useless. SSD Drives do not have batteries nor do any hard drives.

I will also say that if you have one gig, chances are you have 2 512mb sticks. Have you physically looked at what you have? Have you gotten the model number and speed off the ram?

Double dittos on what Rich said about Fry's. Aside from the fact that going there feels like you're going through a TSA pat-down, the quality of their merchandise (especially computer parts) is questionalble at best.

Order online or perhaps go to MicroCenter.

My little hard drive went south and so I went ahead and popped the memory access door while the laptop was flipped. My plan was to take one of the chips with however maybe latter I will post a pic and ask for id help. Frys was considered because I have to go to nearby Jeep place to order a new dipstick tube for tranny.

Corsair is great stuff. Have it in two of my systems. I would buy from Newegg.com though.

Here is a typical ram modual, yours will be pretty close.

The numbers you need to know is at the bottom of the sticker.

DDR

PC2100

CAS 2.5

KNow these numbers are you are good. THat is how you find ram for your system. Find a stick that is the same but with more memory.

LOL I never stop and their little checkpoint. "Can I check your bag, sir?" "No thanks." and keep walking.

How would the quality of their parts be substandard?

It seems that many components have been opened, and returned. Look for the sticker. Lots of missing parts etc Especially on MOBO.

Let's not restart the Fry's door check discussion. Last time it got real ugly real quick.
