Any time.

ohhhh.... wait. Is that sarcasm I'm detecting? <sigh>
In that case, I recommend you go out and start replacing all your peripherals immediately. You've already deducted that the upgrade will cost you more than $30, so man up and do it. Pull that bandaid right off, open your wallet and have fun. You only live once.

FWIW, I just found out that Spyder2 software will no longer work because it is powerpc based.

Some of us already knew that. And it's the reason I need to find different software for monitor calibration.

Loving Lion on my MacBook Pro. To really appreciate the OS you need a magic mouse or even better a trackpad. Once you get the hang of the multi-touch gestures, it's really intuitive and very usable. Of course YMMV.

Err...I wanted to pick up a magic mouse this morning before work, but SAN issues dictated I head in.

Hopefully I'll get one tomorrow and 'muck' around with it tomorrow evening.

I see it's working on Wintel hardware. I'm going to buy myself a new video card and upgrade. Bumping up from a GTX 295 to GTX 580.

Just unboxed my new macbook pro.
Lion came preinstalled and there is no physical disc included!
Apparently there is a partition somewhere and the os can be reinstalled while starting up the machine.
I will be installing a second drive (SSD) tomorrow so I will try it out.

I'm already wondering why there is no icon of my hard drive on the desktop.

Finder Preferences, General Tab, Show these items on the desktop:

Same as in Snow Leopard, but a different default setting maybe.

Nik Software will be releasing updates for their installers this month, individually as they complete them, and will email current customers when they are available. The software works fine if you already have it installed but there is a problem with their installers not wanting to install the photoshop plugins. Lightroom and Aperture seem to work fine. HDR Efex Pro installs fine on all accounts. Silver Efex Pro 2 will be the first to get updated.

Suitcase Fusion 3 font management software update was just released today.
