I made the switch the first day. I'm liking the updated features and added "Gestures". Photoshop CS5 works just fine under it - even launches and runs filters a bit faster than Snow Leopard. Almost all of the third party plug-in manufacturers have updated their plug-ins.

FWIW, I chose to download and create a USB install flash drive (and backup DVD) and did a clean install (holdover habit from my Windows days).

I haven't reinstalled Office for Mac 2011 yet as Microsoft doesn't have an update that allows Word/Excel to take advantage of Lion's versions and autosave (using iWork instead).

I'm using it. Came preinstalled on my new macbook pro.
So far so good, with some minor inconveniences with third party software, but everyone is working in speedy fixes/updates with many already available.
There is another Lion thread which speaks to some of this.

The only major issue is Lion will not run any software that uses Rosetta. So you will need to upgrade those.

I bought a magic trackpad to sit on my desktop to take advantage of the gestures when my macbook is hooked up to my external monitor and wireless keyboard. Pretty cool.

My only gripe or annoyance with the new system is that third party apps all end up on the "Desktop" space automatically, but the mac apps with full screen capabilities like mail, itunes, etc all get their own space when they open, so they get to take advantage of swiping from app to app but not the third party apps.

Been using it for several weeks now, full-time. It's fine for most everything and it will be getting better with a point update or two soon.

It's definitely the direction the Mac OS is going, so the sooner you get on board, the better.

I got it the day it came out and really like it. I haven't had any issues with the programs I'm using.

I got it for my MBP the first day it came out... I like it, no problems... they did change some of the gestures though.. I did not like that.. like I use to swipe 2-3 fingers down/up to goto the bottom or top of a website.. it doesnt do this anymore and I do not see a setting.... :(

Two fingers up or down does scrolling on webpages, finder windows, documents, etc.
Or is this not what you mean?
3 fingers shows/hides the spaces.
