MacBook 8GB upgrade problem - HELP!!! - 09-09-2011, 10:42 AM

I have changed the memory in my MacBook Pro December, 2010.

I have put 2 4GB Samsung Rams in it. The ram: 2X 4GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz 204 Pin SODIMMS

It started freezing when I use Lightroom and Photoshop or I watch movies on the computer. It usually freezes after 10-20 minutes after starting it. Everything runs smoothly until it freezes...

What did I do wrong?

Help!!!

Thanks!
Otto

I installed 8GB into my MBP without any issues. You might want to check this forum

Put the old RAM back and see if it still freezes.
Some Macs are very particular about the types of RAM used.

I think you got the wrong RAM, if yours is the Spring 2010 MBP version. It takes 1066MHz, not 1333. FWIW, this is the RAM that I put in my MBP. No problems what so ever.

Yep, get the same specs for RAM on MBP. The mobo's are locked on the clock speed.
