Windows 7 64 bit question - 11-29-2011, 06:28 AM

Is it possible to toggle back and forth between 64 bit and 32 bit. I have 64 bit installed but have found some software that will allow tethered shooting with my 1d2 but only in 32 bit configuration.
Thanks in advance

64b OS supports running 32b software apps

So I guess what you are saying is it can be done. Just launch the software and all will be good?

From their own website...

Breeze Systems - Support for Windows 7

Says your 1D2 will only support the 32b version of Windows 7. The software will work for other cameras, but I'd bet the drivers needed for the camera are not written for 64b Windows.

Yep Steve, thats what I am getting out of it also...... So if I can run the software in 32 bit, then the camera should work, right? ...or am I still messed up?

Hey Fred, have you tried to list the website in your "compability" view.(under tools) or just click the "torn page" icon in your address box at top left. I had problems with the Canon website & a few others & this cured it in all cases. I also have the windows 7-64 bit.
Just a thought & might be worth a shot. Good luck.

Leon, not havent tried that, didnt even know it was there, lol. I think the issue is what Steve pointed out, there isnt a driver for win 7/64 for the 1d2 camera.
Ill give it a shot tho....
